Donald Gibb as "Ogre"

 

Don Gibb is no long-lost Bee Gee, that is for sure.  Ever wonder “what happened to Ogre?”  Well if you have I found his bio on Wikipedia.  He is doing commercial work and had a small roll in Hancock with Will Smith.  Also has his own beer.

Donald Gibb (born August 4, 1954), sometimes credited as Don Gibb, is an American actor with an imposing 6ft-4in frame, best known for portraying the large, dimwitted fraternity brother “Ogre” in several installments of the Revenge of the Nerds film series.

Raised in California, Gibb attended the University of New Mexico on a basketball scholarship, where he joined Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He then transferred to University of San Diego to play football. Gibb played briefly for the San Diego Chargers before turning to acting, beginning with small, uncredited roles in Stripes and Conan the Barbarian.

Gibb is best known for his “Ogre” character portrayed first in Revenge of the Nerds and later in Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise and Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds in Love. Chugging beer from a trophy, throwing nerds off fraternity buildings and competing in belching contests, Gibb gleefully played up his former days as a college football jock.

Gibb’s other famous recurring role was in a string of martial arts pictures. As American kumite entrant named Ray Jackson, he starred alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in Bloodsport, and alone in the 1996 Bloodsport sequel. Gibb has appeared in more than 25 movies including Jocks and Amazon Women on the Moon. Gibb also had a starring role in the HBO sitcom, 1st & Ten, from 1984-1991, as Leslie “Dr. Death” Krunchner, a linebacker. Then he played small roles in MacGyver, Night Court, Renegade and Step by Step. Subsequently, he also played a small role in the PC gameZork: Grand Inquisitor as the man in the third portal with Lucy and can be seen in a bit role in the film Hancock, starring Will Smith.

Gibb is the spokesman and co-owner for Chicago brewery, Trader Todd’s, through which Gibb is marketing Ogre beer, which is named after his iconic character in Revenge of the Nerds.

He can be seen portraying a pillager in the Capital One (credit card) “Pillagers” commercial series. In the commercials, he can be spotted as the pillager who smashes the musician’s violin at a dinner table, or being told by a make-up artist that “you are definitely an Autumn,” or as the pillager who breaks the lobsters open with a war mace.

Jeff Cohen a.k.a. Chunk from the Goonies

Jeff Cohen, better known as the fat little kid Chunk from the 80′s classic the Goonies is now an entertainment lawyer in Hollywood.  After his child star days ended, Cohen attended the University of California, Berkley and UCLA Law School.  In 2008, the Hollywood Reporter named him to thier list of  Hollywood’s Top 35 Executives Under 35.

Harry Anderson

Harry Anderson best known for his role on the sitcom Nightcourt from 1984 to 1982.  Harry kept busy with TV appearances throughout much of the 90′s and eventually retired with his wife in New Orleans’ French Quarter.

In New Orleans Anderson owned a magic store named Sidesow and a nightclub called Oswald’s Speakeasy.  In 2006 Harry and his wife left New Orleans for Ashville, NC.

In 2008 Anderson had a cameo appearance on the sitcom 30 Rock, but may have given acting up for good.

Dennis C. Stewart

Dennis C. Stewart was best know for his role as “Crater face” in the original Grease movie.  The character was also billed as “Leo, Leader of the Scorpions.”  Stewart also appeared in Grease 2 playing the character of Balmudo.  Other notable appearances include Sgt. Pepper’s Lonley Hearts Club Band as a dancer, and numerous TV appearances including; The Greatest American Hero, Moonlighting, The A-Team, McGuyver and Parker lewis Can’t Loose.

According to an article on this site Stewart was a homosexual and died of cardiac arrest related to AIDS in 1994.

Lorie Griffin aka Pamela Wells from Teen Wolf

Lorie Griffin is best known for playing the two-timing babe Pamela Wells in the 1985 flick Teen Wolf with Michael J. Fox.  After Teen Wolf, Griffin appeared in a handful of low budget movies before completely falling out of show business in 1993.

The very next movie Lorie appeared in after Teen Wolf was the cheesy horror flick Cheerleader Camp in 1988.  Cheerleader Camp proved to be a career killer of sorts.  Perennial VH1 celebrity junkie Leif Garrett and Playboy Playmate turned porn star Terry Weigle were among her co-stars.  One only need to watch the trailer to Cheerleader Camp to realize what an utter mess the film turned out to be.

But that leaves the question, what ever became of Lorie Griffin aka Pamela Wells from Teen Wolf?  I have searched high and low and can’t find anything about her.  Leave a comment if you know…
